Rosina Ivanova is an artist and experimental writer. In her creative practice she participates in small collaborative performances.

She has received a master's degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Trondheim (Norway) and a master's degree in Creative Practice from the Transart Institute (Berlin and New York), accredited by the School of Arts and Media at the University of Plymouth, UK. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis on Advertising from the School of Liberal Sciences and Arts at the American College of Greece – DEREE, with a second major in Visual Arts and the Vision Art Award, initiated by her at the School of Fine and Performing Arts SFPA. She has participated in three consecutive photography exhibitions at the 2011-2013 Athens Photo Festival, one of which she has curated.

She has exhibited, organized and participated in solo and group projects including the Kafeneon Pop Art Project, ACG Art Gallery – Center for the Arts, ART-ATHINA International Art Fair (2010, 2013), 2nd Athens Biennale HEAVEN (2009), EMST State Museum of Contemporary Art in Greece, Tanzfabrik, Supermarkt, Linder Project Space in Berlin, Germany, Bosar in Brussels, Belgium, Brooklyn Art Space, New York and more.

Currently, Rosina Ivanova is working on her publication, Manifesto Compilation as Freedom Songswhich will be published by SMØR Press in Trondheim 2019, Norway. The book is a curated selection of performing artists she has met all over the world and who have influenced her life, work and thinking. She has asked each of them to propose a manifesto to be translated into a visual language and then given to a local artist (in Trondheim) to interpret the visual work into a performance. It is an attempt to translate text into an image and then into a performative action.

In times of constant crisis, violent political orders, austerity measures, forced displacement and domestic violence, the author hopes to nurture sensitivity for the vulnerable. The selection of the manifestos is based on elements that advocate states of freedom within the performance art practice that inspire urgency in experimental methods through voice, body and text, when current modes of being no longer suffice to describe the complexity of social reality. The focus is on approaches to imaginative writing, cross-disciplinary action and freedom of voice.
